Job summary

CBRE Data Analyst role in the United States focuses on conducting basic analyses to back business conclusions with solid data research. You will help drive business intelligence within the Data Science & Analytics function, reviewing data to improve effectiveness and predict outcomes.

The position emphasizes data models, dashboards, and collaborative agile work. You will define data requirements, gather information with judgment and statistical tests, and present data stories to business lines

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field with up to 1-4 years of relevant experience
• In-depth experience with SQL, data visualization tools, ETL pipelines, and database management systems
• Strong programming skills, with experience in Python, utilizing it for data analysis and evaluation tasks.
• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
• Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Use SQL and scripting to develop and maintain complex queries from multiple sources.
• Develop and maintain data dashboards and assets including scripts, tables, workflows, and supporting processes.
• Apply fundamental data structures and algorithms to solve complex problems.
• Define basic data requirements and gather information using judgment and statistical tests.
• Use programming and evaluation tools (e.g. Python) including open-source programs to plan models and extract insights.
• Apply modeling and optimization methods to improve business performance.
• Develop and maintain data models, data automation systems, low-code solutions, and reporting systems.
• Develop ad-hoc reporting based on the review of existing data sources.
• Exhibit rigor, judgment, and ability to present a detailed 'data story' to a business line.
• Confirm the quality and integrity of existing data sources.
• Collaborate with the agile development team to provide recommendations and communications on enhancing processes.
• Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values.
• Exchange straightforward information, ask questions, and check for understanding.
