The Licensing & Consumer Protect. team is hiring a Data Analyst to support the Department of Licensing and Consumer Protection (DLCP), Office of the Director. In this onsite Washington, DC role, you will help ensure data quality and reliability while building tools and producing reporting that supports compliance monitoring and enforcement actions.
What you’ll do
- Review, verify, and authenticate information to ensure accuracy, validity, and alignment with applicable standards.
- Build and maintain data tracking systems, dashboards, and analytic tools used for compliance monitoring, reporting, and enforcement.
- Support eligibility and qualification checks for regulated entities based on applicable statutes, program guidelines, and licensing mandates.
- Construct, update, and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), compliance guides, and data management protocols to support consistent agency practice.
- Collaborate with program managers, inspectors, enforcement staff, and external agencies to ensure correct data collection and interpretation.
- Organize and conduct compliance training, data interpretation sessions, and technical assistance workshops for internal staff and regulated entities.
- Produce quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reports covering compliance trends, data quality issues, operational risks, and program performance indicators.
- Assist the Compliance Division with new regulatory initiatives, program evaluations, and process improvements.
What you’ll need
- Specialized experience directly related to the position, with knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties.
- At least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.
- No licenses or certifications are required.
Work schedule and environment
- Location: Washington, DC (onsite)
- Tour of duty: Monday to Friday, 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM
- Environment: Routine office setting
Pay, series, and additional details
- Salary: USD 93,069 - 119,916 per year
- Pay plan, series, and grade: CS – 0301 - 13
- Promotion potential: No known promotion potential
- Union coverage: Not covered under a collective bargaining unit
- Position designation: Enhanced suitability screening under Chapter 4 of DC Personnel Regulations, Suitability – Security Sensitive
Residency preference (if applicable)
- District residency preference requires maintaining bona fide District residency for seven (7) consecutive years from the effective date of employment.
- Documentation proving District residency is required.
- Failure to maintain bona fide District residency for the seven-year period will result in forfeiture of employment.
