Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an engineer to own the full path from a user question to an answer that dashboards can present. You will contribute to the Data User Experience Engineering team, building AI-enabled analytics, semantic layers, and reliable reporting surfaces used across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo.

You’ll work on data discovery, metadata platforms, and cross-filter semantics while ensuring governance and scale for a global user base.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience in software engineering.
• Strong backend fundamentals, especially in Go and Python, and ownership of a production service.
• Shipped an LLM-powered feature to real users with retrieval and grounding.

Responsibilities

• Own the full path from a question to an answer in dashboards and reports.
• Develop AI-enabled services and workflows within the data platform.
• Build and operate data discovery and metadata platforms for datasets, dashboards, and metrics.
• Evolve the semantic layer and governance for metrics and dimensions.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure accurate, auditable analytics and reporting.
