Job summary

Citi is seeking an Engineering Director for the Data & AI portfolio within TWCS Technology Organization in Tampa, FL. You will define the technology roadmap, lead expert engineers, and partner with business, data scientists, and product teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

Ideal candidates have extensive data engineering, analytics, and AI engineering experience at scale, with strong Java and cloud-native architecture skills.

Qualifications

• 15 years of progressive software engineering leadership.
• 8–10 years in people leadership with high-performing teams.
• Deep expertise in Data Engineering, Analytics, AI Engineering at scale.
• Experience with financial services and payment systems.
• Proficient in Java, microservices, distributed systems, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering teams to achieve goals and manage performance.
• Define team vision, roles, and structure for impact.
• Present reviews to senior management and stakeholders.
• Drive system architecture design and deliverables quality.
• Ensure governance, risk, controls, and regulatory reporting alignment.
