Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation (YMMC), a leader in innovation and performance-driven mobility solutions, is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of our next generation golf cars and low-speed electric vehicles (LSEVs).

This role plays a pivotal part in shaping the future of personal and commercial electric mobility by delivering market-leading designs that blend performance, durability, and user experience. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, strong cross-functional collaboration, and a passion for pushing boundaries in electric vehicle development.

• Lead full lifecycle product development for new and existing golf car and LSEV platforms – from concept through production.
• Drive innovation in vehicle design, systems integration, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, testing, and quality teams.
• Conduct and oversee component validation, DFMEA, DVP&R, and root cause analysis.
• Support strategic roadmap planning and market-driven design enhancements.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
• B.S. in Mechanical or related Engineering field (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in vehicle or powersports product development; LSEV or EV experience strongly preferred.
• Expertise in CAD (CATIA, NX, or similar), vehicle integration, and electrical systems.
• Proven record of leading complex engineering projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and testing protocols.
