Job summary

Kinetic Light Inc. is seeking an organized, experienced stage manager for dance performances. The role requires coordinating rehearsal schedules, studio setup, and detailed documentation of blocking and changes, while ensuring clear communication between choreographers, directors, and dancers.

The position is hybrid with on-site studio work in NYC, occasional travel, and a 30-dollar-per-hour rate. You will support safety protocols and manage logistics for a dynamic production team.

Qualifications

• Professional experience stage managing dance performances.
• Strong understanding of rehearsal processes with dancers.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience managing schedules and logistics in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Google Apps, Slack, and MS Office.
• Working knowledge of QLab.

Responsibilities

• Schedule rehearsals and inform dancers of locations and logistics.
• Prepare studio; set up audio equipment and tape floor to final dimensions.
• Document rehearsals with notes and upload to Drive; share daily reports.
• Serve as liaison between choreographer, directors, and dancers; communicate changes.
