Job summary

Ballet Hispánico in New York City is seeking a Part-time Production Manager to oversee logistics and the technical aspects of all BH productions and the School of Dance recitals.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will forecast budgets, lead the technical advance process with venues, manage riders and transport, and coordinate rehearsals with Artistic Staff and Wardrobe/Stage personnel. This is a dynamic, hands-on role with evolving responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience managing production budgets and cost forecasting.
• Ability to supervise technical rehearsals and schedules.
• Proficiency with venue tech, touring logistics, and vendor management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop production cost forecasting and budgets for Ballet Hispânico productions.
• Monitor production department budgets and expenses throughout the year.
• Evaluate performance spaces in advance and troubleshoot potential challenges/risks.
• Coordinate technical rehearsals and schedules with Artistic Staff and managers.
• Provide remote support during touring engagements.
• Arrange shipping and transport for tours and manage equipment logistics.
• Coordinate acquisition, maintenance of equipment, and rider documentation.
• Contract and manage relationships with external vendors for productions.
• Direct and manage production aspects of the Ballet Hispânico Annual Gala.
• Support BH School productions and staff with production needs.
