Job summary

Metropolitan Community College’s Continuing Education Division seeks enthusiastic Dance Instructors to provide engaging, non-credit dance courses for community members of varying ages and experience levels.

Instructors may teach multiple styles (ballroom, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, cultural dance, line dancing, social dance, etc.) and will develop lesson plans, demonstrate movements, and offer constructive feedback.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience teaching dance in studio, classroom, or community settings.
• Strong knowledge in one or more dance styles (ballroom, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, etc.).
• Ability to demonstrate dance movements clearly and provide feedback.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and course materials for non-credit dance courses.
• Demonstrate techniques and movements to participants.
• Provide clear instruction and feedback and adapt activities for varying ages and abilities.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
