Job summary

Clovis Community College is seeking a part-time Dance Instructor to join our pool of instructors. You will teach a variety of dance courses, employing diverse pedagogies and technology to support face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate equity-minded leadership and experience teaching diverse student populations, with the ability to work in evenings or weekends and participate in dual enrollment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Evidence of responsiveness to diverse student backgrounds and equity-minded practice.
• Understanding of equity-focused teaching strategies.
• Ability to work with a diverse student population in a community college setting.

Responsibilities

• Teach a part-time schedule of Dance courses as assigned.
• Use diverse teaching methods and technology for face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Adhere to approved curriculum outlines and course objectives.
• Evaluate student progress through tests, assignments, and exams; provide syllabi.
• Maintain classroom records and timely grading/evaluation reports.
• Teach in varied settings, including evenings/weekends and off-campus dual enrollment.
• Fulfill duties as required by Administrative Regulation 7122.

Education

Master’s in dance or related field (dance emphasis)

Bachelor’s in related field + Master’s in physical education/arts

California Community College Credential or equivalency
