Dance Instructor
MCC's Continuing Education Division is seeking enthusiastic, experienced, and knowledgeable Dance Instructors to provide engaging and enriching learning opportunities for members of our community. This position will offer various teaching opportunities throughout the year and will be responsible for developing and delivering accessible, engaging, and practical non-credit dance courses for participants of varying ages and experience levels.
Dance Instructors may teach courses in a variety of styles and disciplines, including but not limited to ballroom, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, cultural dance, line dancing, social dance, or other dance-related topics. Instructors will create a welcoming and supportive learning environment that encourages participants to develop their movement skills, confidence, creativity, physical wellness, and appreciation for dance.
The instructor will be responsible for preparing lesson plans and course materials, demonstrating dance techniques and movements, providing clear instruction and feedback, and adapting activities to accommodate participants with varying skill levels and abilities. Courses should emphasize participation, personal enrichment, physical activity, and enjoyment while maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
This position will have random teaching opportunities throughout the year.
MCC holds classes at multiple locations throughout the Metro area including Fremont and Blair. Most classes are held weeknights and weekends.
