Secretariat is seeking an Associate for its Damages & Valuation team in the US to support large, complex financial disputes with exposure to economics, accounting, and law.

You will conduct economic and financial research, analyze data, and assist in expert reports and rebuttals while coordinating with clients and counsel across multiple engagements. A Big Four background and CPA-related credentials are a plus.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar.
• Internship or prior experience in economic damages/forensic accounting preferred.
• Prior experience at one of the Big Four firms is a plus.
• Pursuing CPA, CFF, CFA, CFE, or ABV credentials is a plus.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial records and capital market data.
• Excellent listening, verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct economic, financial, accounting, and industry research.
• Analyze financial and non-financial information and summarize findings for the team and clients.
• Assist with preparation of expert reports (damages, forensic accounting, construction quantum).
• Assist with rebuttal expert reports evaluating other experts’ conclusions.
• Communicate with clients and counsel; prepare for hearings, trials, and mediations.
• Manage day-to-day requirements of multiple engagements.
