Job summary

Secretariat is seeking an associate for the Damages and Valuation Team in Denver. You will join a team handling domestic and international damages matters, integrating finance, accounting, economics, and legal concepts.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and occasional travel. A Bachelor’s in accounting/finance/economics is required, with 1+ year of relevant experience; Big Four experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or similar is required.
  • 1+ years of experience in economic damages/forensic accounting preferred.
  • Big Four experience is a plus; pursuing CPA or related credentials is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct economic, financial, accounting, and industry research.
  • Analyze financial and non-financial information and summarize findings for the team and clients.
  • Assist with preparation of expert reports (damages, forensic accounting, construction quantum).
  • Assist with rebuttal expert reports evaluating others’ conclusions.
  • Communicate with clients and counsel; prepare for hearings, trials, and mediations.
