Enbridge is seeking a Damage Prevention Inspector II to oversee safe, timely locates and training for excavators in the US region. You will monitor Locate Service Providers, support investigations, and lead local awareness sessions with a focus on safety around infrastructure.

The role combines field (80%) and office (20%) work; requires a valid Ontario G class license and willingness to travel within the area. Base salary ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 USD.

Qualifications

• Related university degree and 2 years' experience OR four-plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience.
• Ability to develop and manage strong relationships and work within a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to think analytically and good organizational skills.
• Working and technical knowledge of the Damage Prevention and Locate industry is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Monitor performance levels of Locate Service Providers to ensure timely, safe and accurate locate services. Follow up with Locate Service Providers on corrective actions.
• Provide support for damage prevention investigations which include performing inaccurate locate reviews, supporting claims dispute and resolution. Act as local liaison with TSSA, Field Operations employees, Locate Service Providers and Insurance Services with respect to excavation damages and locate issues.
• Lead local damage prevention awareness sessions for the excavating community. Support Field Operations employees in damage prevention activities.
• Implementation and oversight of locate service offerings (i.e., Alternative Locate Agreements, Locate Office/Field Clears).
• Promotion of the Locate Alliance Consortium, Ontario Regional Common Ground Alliance, Ontario One Call, and participation on geographic based committees.
• Contractor management oversight of Damage Prevention Service Provider.
• Travel will be required within the geographic area represented by this role on a regular basis.
• Some overtime will be required to attend presentations, community meetings, and conferences.
• Utilize risk-based software to conduct proactive site meets with excavators.
• The scope of this role focuses on the safely and timely delivery of quality locates. This in turn ensures the safety of those excavating in the proximity of our infrastructure.
