Job summary

Tallgrass is seeking a field professional to implement the Damage Prevention Program for pipelines, appurtenances, and facilities. The role involves patrols, locating, inspections, and coordination with public and landowners to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience reading and interpreting project plans, drawings, diagrams, etc.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark facilities per Company Damage Prevention Program and One-Call procedures prior to and during excavations.
• Perform pipeline patrols, population density surveys, leak detection surveys and inspections.
• Coordinate local Damage Prevention and Public Awareness liaison activities and document accordingly.
• Provide oversight and inspection to ensure asset protection and compliance near pipeline facilities.
• Represent the Company in meetings with landowners, public officials, emergency officials, and local groups.
• Train and oversee company and third-party personnel per policies and procedures.
• Perform governmental compliance activities (PHMSA, State Agencies, EPA, USFS) and documentation.
• Perform mapping, recordkeeping, and data entry duties per Company policies and procedures.
• Identify, report and correct safety and environmental concerns.
• Conduct right-of-way inspections to identify geotechnical concerns and impacts on assets.
• Complete documentation and ensure compliance with standards, procedures and tariff requirements.
• Install, repair, service and maintain valves, pipe, and pipeline appurtenances.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as tractors, pumps, compressors, test equipment, vehicles.
• Participate in safety programs and help develop procedures and work plans.
