Job summary

Thalle Construction Co., Inc. seeks a QC Project Engineer to support the QC program on a Dam Safety Modification project. The role focuses on documentation management, redline review, as-built development, and coordination between field operations and project management.

The candidate will be the primary recorder of field changes and ensure timely preparation of as-built documentation in accordance with contract plans, specifications, and owner requirements. Prior USACE familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years in heavy civil construction.
• Experience with USACE projects preferred.
• Demonstrated experience preparing and managing redline and as-built documentation.
• Ability to interpret complex construction plans, specs and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Review superintendent markups and redline drawings for accuracy and contract compliance.
• Maintain and update redline drawings throughout the project.
• Prepare final as-built drawings and documentation packages.
• Document all field changes and incorporate into record drawings.
• Coordinate with field staff to verify installed work matches drawings and changes.
• Support preparation and maintenance of Quality Control documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and field management to resolve discrepancies.
• Review RFIs, submittals, change orders, and design revisions related to redlines and as-builts.
• Track revisions from approved change orders and document impacts.
