Thalle Construction Co., Inc. in Hillsborough, NC, seeks a Lead Project Engineer with 5-10 years of USACE experience to support a Dam Safety Modification project.

The role reports to the Project Manager and collaborates with operations staff to ensure safe, accurate project progress. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 2+ years of relevant experience as a Project Engineer or QC Tech on heavy civil projects.
• Primavera CPM scheduling or similar, and CAD knowledge.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• 5-10 years of USACE project experience.
• Experience supervising operations teams is a plus.
• Background check and drug testing required.
• Prior heavy civil site project experience (water control, levee, concrete) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports and monitor production and schedule.
• Create and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, notifications and correspondence.
• Lead daily/weekly/monthly meetings and coordinate with project staff.
• Maintain client, owner, subcontractor and vendor relationships.
• Track material usage, costs, and equipment costs and codes.
• Prepare monthly pay requests for PM approval.
• Manage project documentation in Primavera/Expedition.
• Review plans and drawings for heavy civil projects.
