Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design seeks a Dam Safety Project Engineer to join our Water team in the United States. The role involves leading designs for dam and levee rehabilitation, conducting safety inspections, and mentoring junior staff on inspection, design, construction, and analysis.

You will prepare construction documents, perform cost estimates and scheduling, and contribute to hydrologic/hydraulic and structural analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required.
• EIT certification required; PE license highly preferred.
• 4+ years of experience in dam safety engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop project rehabilitation designs for dam, levees, and water retaining structures.
• Conduct dam and levee safety inspections and surveys; write reports.
• Lead and mentor junior staff on inspection, design, construction, and analysis.
• Prepare construction documents (plans and specifications).
• Perform cost/quantity estimates and project scheduling.
• Manage construction oversight for dam and levee projects.
• Perform and review hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and structural calculations as needed.
• Participate in inspections and analysis sessions and develop project work scopes.
