The US Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, is seeking a Dam Safety Program Manager (DSPM) within the Geotechnical Branch of the Engineering Division in Louisville, KY. The role reports to the District Dam Safety Officer and focuses on routine dam safety activities across the district.

The DSPM will develop and coordinate the dam safety program, manage O&M funds, and lead inter-agency partnerships. A PE or PG license is required, with 15% TDY travel and non-sensitive clearance.

Qualifications

  • One year of specialized experience leading multi-disciplinary teams during planning, design, construction, operation, inspection, and evaluation of Civil Works and Dam Safety projects; providing QA for dam safety projects; offering technical expertise on Geotechnical Engineering and/or Dam Safety.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the focal point for routine dam safety activities within the District.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement the District Dam Safety Program including O&M funds coordination.
  • Form and facilitate inter-agency partnerships focused on client/sponsor satisfaction and dam safety advocacy within the Region.
  • Serve as a technical specialist for dam safety program establishment and implementation.
  • Manage the district dam safety training program.
  • Oversee periodic inspection, evaluation, and risk assessment of dams within the District.
  • Lead dam safety emergency coordination and report on project responses to emergencies.
