Job summary

Managed Business Solutions seeks a full-time Dam Safety Engineer IV (Hydrologic and Hydraulics) to join the on-site team in Lakewood, Colorado. The role focuses on hydrologic/hydraulic modeling to support dam safety, with responsibilities spanning risk analysis, emergency management, dam security, design, environmental compliance, inspections, and maintenance.

Public speaking and complex document development are essential. US citizenship is required due to federal program involvement.

Qualifications

ABET‑accredited BS in Civil, Agricultural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or higher)
Professional Engineer licensure in any state
15+ years in design, inspection, or analysis of water resources, dams, or dam safety
10+ years with Federal Dam Safety standards for federally owned/operated dams
Experience with Federal design standards for dams, levees and related infra
For senior roles, at least 3 years leading technical dam safety or emergency program efforts

Responsibilities

Prepare and review technical work products on dam safety activities (hydraulic modeling, risk analysis, emergency management)
Develop input data and surfaces for hydrologic/hydraulic modeling
Create technical documents reflecting agency and community needs
Provide guidance on dam safety guidelines and regulations
Review budgets and prepare budget estimates for SOD program
Collaborate with Bureau of Indian Affairs and Managed Business Solutions staff
Deliver oral presentations to governmental and tribal groups
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and support program needs
