Job summary

HDR is seeking a Dams, Levees and Civil Works Leader to guide a multidisciplinary team across Kentucky and Tennessee. You will direct project execution for dam, levee, and flood risk initiatives, while fostering client relations and contract development.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor's in engineering, and 10+ years of relevant experience, with strong GIS/CADD and Bentley Geo tools expertise. HDR promotes an employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• PE license recognized by the licensing board for the position location.
• 10+ years of experience in DLCW or related fields.
• Experience with GIS, CADD, and MS Office.
• Experience with GeoStudio/Ensoft slope stability, settlement, seepage, and deep foundation response software.
• Experience with Bentley geotechnical data management tools (gINT/OpenGround/LeapFrog).
• Familiarity with Finite Difference, Finite Element, and Discrete Element numerical modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead the DLCW team in Kentucky/Tennessee, ensuring direction, control, and high quality work for dam, levee, civil works and flood risk projects.
• Plan and direct the DLCW team activities within Kentucky and Tennessee.
• Support client relations, project development and contract document preparation.
• Mentor junior staff across multiple disciplines.
• Coordinate projects with hydrology, hydraulics, structural, geology, geotechnical, civil, mechanical, CADD and GIS teams.
• Coordinate with HDR's regional and corporate technical leads and advisors.
