Job summary

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Water Resource Management, is seeking a Senior Program Analyst to lead the State Dam Safety Program in Tallahassee. You will oversee program administration, technical evaluations, grants, and interagency coordination to enhance statewide dam safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include managing FEMA dam safety grants, developing guidance documents, and supporting ERP activities while traveling for inspections

Qualifications

• Four years of verifiable related experience in geotechnical or environmental disciplines, with degrees substituting year-for-year.
• Experience evaluating dam design, construction, and maintenance plans is preferred.
• Ability to interpret Florida statutes, rules, and ERP criteria as they relate to dam safety.

Responsibilities

• Administer FEMA dam safety grants and manage contracts/ deliverables.
• Coordinate statewide training, outreach, and interagency initiatives to promote dam safety.
