Job summary

Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) seeks a Civil, Geotechnical, or Dam Safety Engineer to join the Dam Safety team in Eugene, Oregon. The role supports EWEB’s Owner’s Dam Safety Program (ODSP) with inspections, risk assessments, and capital project input from planning through construction.

The position requires a BS in Engineering, and PE license or EIT certification depending on level; relocation may be available for out-of-area candidates.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required.
PE license or EIT certification preferred/required depending on level.
Experience with dam safety or geotechnical projects recommended.
Equivalency: relevant education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate dam safety projects and ODSP activities.
Perform inspections, construction observation, and documentation.
Provide dam safety input to capital projects from planning to construction.
Conduct PFMA, risk assessments, and data analyses to inform decisions.
Collaborate with internal teams and external regulators, consultants, and agencies.
