Qualifications

• 10+ years of litigation experience
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in Texas
• Portable book of business or established client relationships a plus
• First-chair or significant trial experience a plus
• Experience managing and supervising litigation teams
• Contributions to business development and client retention
• Strong organizational and case-management skills
• Ability to multi-task across client, leadership, and case responsibilities
• Attributes: strategy, collaboration, accountability, professionalism

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex insurance defense matters including general liability, toxic tort, and construction defect
• Develop case strategy, analyze risk, and provide proactive guidance to clients
• Conduct all phases of litigation: pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediation, trial, and appeals
• Manage matter budgets, profitability, staffing, and client reporting
• Serve as primary client contact and expand relationships with claims professionals and in-house teams
• Contribute to firm strategy, leadership committees, and thought leadership
• Mentor and develop associates to support high-quality legal work
• Collaborate with partners across practices to strengthen service offerings
• Participate in partnership meetings and strategic planning
