Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required (or equivalent).
• PE license required.
• 2–4 years in civil engineering/construction; more with preferred.
• Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts for technical plans and specifications.
• Strong technical and analytical skills; ability to mentor staff.
• Ability to lead teams using industry-standard software for analysis and design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; teamwork oriented.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for civil site design across commercial, residential, industrial projects.
• Prepare detailed designs, specs, and calculations per codes and IMEG standards.
• Complete and oversee permit applications with team, client, and jurisdiction.
• Perform surface modeling, watershed modeling, storm and sanitary sewer design.
• Support projects through bidding and construction administration.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate results; build relationships.
• Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling; monitor progress and fees.
• Document design decisions and client instructions; track percent complete and fee expended.
• Analyze engineering problems and collaborate with senior engineers for practical solutions.
• Interpret design criteria; ensure safety and regulatory compliance; escalate issues as needed.
