Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Research & Development Intern to research, design, and evaluate materials, assemblies, processes, and equipment in the plants.

You will sample milk, whey, and cheese products to ensure conformity with Saputo specifications and regulatory standards, and analyze results. You will also set up and maintain lab equipment, perform tests (moisture, pH, fat, solids, etc.), and provide technical support to U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Dairy Technology, or related field.
• Proficient in data collection, analysis, and reporting using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to interpret technical information and work with lab data.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological, analytical, and organoleptic analysis of milk, whey, and cheese products.
• Set up, operate, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment daily.
• Prepare samples and conduct tests: moisture, pH, salt, fat, total solids, etc.
• Provide technical support to designated plants in the U.S.
• Document research work and communicate results in a timely manner.
• Assist in coordinating product development activities at plants.
