Job summary

Ornua is seeking a Quality Lab Technician (3rd Shift) in Hilbert, WI to perform inspections and procedures related to Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs, and to report deviations. You will work with production staff to ensure GMP compliance and support continuous improvement.

The role requires a high school diploma, knowledge of GMP/HACCP, and the ability to perform on-line testing and finished product analysis.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, or Chemistry degree preferred.
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, sanitation, and production preferred.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Authorization to work in the U.S. required.

Responsibilities

Set up and calibrate lab equipment.
Check production line at the start of each new product to ensure proper materials are used.
Check packaging line at start of each product run for proper labeling.
Perform on-line testing (fat, moisture, pH, etc.) during production.
Communicate formula adjustments to production staff.
Perform finished product testing on samples and report results.
Generate reports on finished products after testing.
Conduct customer-specific testing on finished products.
Perform environmental swabbing weekly.
