Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking a lab technician in Deerfield Beach, FL to perform milk and product analysis, environmental testing, and flavoring processes. You will inspect the plant, uphold GMPs, and communicate results to department managers and associates.

The role requires a two-year degree or lab experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The team supports process improvement and broader quality initiatives within the facility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must obtain lab certification by state and/or FDA.
• Must be able to taste and evaluate all products.
• Must have analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must demonstrate safe working habits.
• Must be able to lift up to of 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to learn and perform all positions.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have good human relations skills (team player).

Responsibilities

• Performing raw, intermediate and finished milk and product analysis
• Performing environment tests
• Flavoring product
• Inspecting Plant and upholding GMPs
• Providing accurate and timely information to department managers
• Keeping records and documentation of test results
• Creating and communicating laboratory reports for regulatory agencies and Publix associates
• Assisting teams in applying information for process improvement and resolution of quality issues in the facility
• Other duties as assigned.
