Job summary

Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) is seeking a Production Operative to support its Sanborn, IA facility. You will perform cart assembly, cleaning, load/unload, and assist with packaging and line maintenance in a fast-paced dairy production environment.

The role emphasizes food safety, quality, and adherence to GMP policies. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with prior dairy or forklift experience considered an asset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Food manufacturing, material handling and forklift operation experience preferred.
• Prior experience in the dairy or cheese industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble carts and place cheesecloth and liners into boxes.
• Carts and pans need to be thoroughly rinsed to remove soil or debris.
• Clean and sanitize all carts and pans; re-clean if debris is located.
• Load and unload carts into a vacuum chamber and monitor vacuum time/pressure.
• Seal the blocks; inspect, weigh, and tag carts.
• Maintain housekeeping and recordkeeping; follow safety and GMP policies.
