Job summary

AMPI, a Midwest dairy co-op, is seeking a Maintenance Craft Worker to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant machinery, conveyors, and motors at the Sanborn, IA facility. The role emphasizes safety, food quality, and operational efficiency within a dairy production environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates Degree or trade certificate preferred.
  • 1–2 years of skilled mechanical maintenance experience in food manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance support to ensure safety, product integrity and production efficiency.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyors and production machines.
  • Respond to maintenance issues promptly and document repairs and parts used.
  • Adhere to Environmental, Health, Safety, and GMP policies.
