HP Hood is seeking a Standby Operator to support daily operations in our dairy production lines. The role involves operating filling and packaging equipment, frequent lifting, and occasional shift variations.

You will ensure compliance with NY regulations, GMP, and safety policies while maintaining productivity and accuracy. We value teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Excellent troubleshoot experience.
• Ability to work well with people, communicate effectively and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Daily Operations of filling and packaging equipment in a production line setting.
• Operations of equipment in key areas of dairy processing.
• Compliance with New York State regulations.
• Adherence to all GMP and sanitation policies.
• Compliance with OSHA regulations and plant safety policies.
• Follow guidelines and rules associated with local unions (CBA).
• Operate tools and equipment; perform general plant cleaning and grounds maintenance.
• Maintain and complete required environmental and production paperwork with accurate documentation.
• Establish and maintain relationships with external agencies (sanitation authorities, equipment vendors).
• Support SQF by completing tasks and maintaining a sanitary work area.
• Maintain positive relationships with plant supervisors and managers.
