Job summary

HP Hood in New York State is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to run filling and packaging lines on a dairy production floor. The role involves long hours standing, repeated bending and lifting 50 lbs, and working under GMP, SQF, OSHA and union guidelines.

You will perform equipment setup, routine maintenance, documentation, and cooperate with supervisors. Prior manufacturing experience and basic computer skills are preferred; strong teamwork and troubleshooting ability are essential.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
• Basic Computer Skill preferred.
• Excellent Troubleshoot Experience.
• Ability to work well with people.
• Communication skills are a must.
• Multi-tasked Individual.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Daily Operations of filling and packaging equipment in a production line setting.
• Operations of equipment in key areas of dairy processing.
• Maintain and complete required environmental and production paperwork.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with external agencies (sanitation authorities, equipment vendors, etc).
• Support SQF by completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
• Maintain positive relationships with plant supervisors and managers.
• Attend Daily Production Meeting if required.
• Maintain records and logs as required.
