Job summary

HP Hood LLC is seeking a Standby Operator to support daily dairy processing and packaging operations. The role involves long machine runs, frequent lifting, and variable weekly shifts with non-consecutive days off.

You'll operate equipment, follow GMP and OSHA guidance, and maintain documentation while supporting safety policies and union guidelines. Prior manufacturing experience is a plus and physical requirements are substantial.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma is required or preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are preferred for record keeping.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Daily operations of filling and packaging equipment on a production line.
• Operate equipment in key dairy processing areas and ensure GMP compliance.
• Maintain accurate environmental and production records and logs.
• Support safety, sanitation, and union guidelines as required.
• Coordinate with supervisors and external agencies when needed.
