Job summary

Saputo Inc. is hiring an entry-level plant production associate at our California facility. You will open bulk cheese, place cheese on the line, operate cheese cutters and shredders, and pack finished products into cases for palletization.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong work ethic, accuracy, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced dairy production environment, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 1 year of demonstrated work experience.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing, warehousing, or dairy manufacturing is preferred.
• Good math skills are required.
• Proficient computer skills, data entry, SAP is a plus.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background check; strong English communication and attendance.

Responsibilities

• Operates infeed cheese to cheese cutting or shredding department.
• Manually feed cheese to conveyor belt to scale and wrapper.
• Fill cases with good packages, by count or weight, and seal; stack onto pallets.
• Stack completed cases on pallet per product template.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment.
• Fill/operate dry ingredient dispensers as needed.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks on cheese portioning/shredding department.
• Report daily production on required forms.
• Maintain sanitation and comply with quality and regulatory requirements.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.
