Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a production operator for dairy manufacturing in New York. The role includes cross-training across milk receiving, pasteurization, batching, blending and filling tasks, with a strong emphasis on following SOPs and quality controls.

You will inspect tankers, perform sampling and sensory tests, and ensure packaging accuracy, clean-in-place routines, and safety protocols are followed. A high school diploma and 2+ years in food manufacturing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have basic math, measurement and data recording skills.
• Experience with standard GMP/QA practices and food safety is preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP and ERP tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train in milk receiving, pasteurization, batching/blend and filling operations.
• Follow SOPs exactly and inspect bulk tanker and filling lines.
• Collect samples, perform sensory evaluation and physical testing, report deviations.
• Hook up tanker for off-loading, vent, pump, CIP and routine SIP operations.
• Mix, blend and batch products per recipes; ensure ingredient accuracy and tracking.
• Ensure pasteurization and FSMA-compliant process data, review time/temperature charts.
• Perform filler operator duties, line set-up, changeovers and quality checks.
• Operate lift truck; maintain records; support audits and GMP/food safety compliance.
