Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a Working Supervisor for our 24/7 dairy manufacturing facility in Connecticut. The role focuses on maintaining high productivity, leading a shift, and ensuring product quality from homogenization to packaging.

You will guide operators, address downtime with root-cause analysis, and enforce GMPs and safety standards. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in dairy manufacturing, strong math and technical skills, and the ability to train and develop a team

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a food manufacturing, dairy manufacturing environment preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong math skills and ability to read and interpret data.
Strong technical aptitude with equipment controls, touch panels and mechanics.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain high efficiency and productivity of the processing and filling areas.
Oversee changeovers and provide technical guidance to minimize downtime.
Ensure GMPs and housekeeping meet highest standards.
Verify production documents are complete and accurate; perform root cause analysis.
Assist with new hire operator training and document training follow-up.
Review SOPs/Procedures to ensure compliance and currency.
Lead and coach teams to follow safety policies and cost-containment initiatives.
Promote safety programs and ensure compliance with regulations.
