Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a laboratory technician to perform in-process and finished product testing, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company specifications.

You will gather samples, run tests, document results, and communicate any out-of-spec conditions to management. The role involves rotating 12-hour night shifts (6pm–6am) and contributes to quality assurance across products and raw materials.

• Gathers samples for analytical testing and performs various laboratory tests on products and materials.
• Documents results and maintains accurate lab records.
• Trains on equipment use and proper procedures.

Responsibilities

• Gathers samples for analytical testing and performs various laboratory tests on products, raw materials, ingredients and lab samples to determine if they meet necessary requirements.
• Prepares samples of products for future reference and documents results.
• Examines results of audit tests to identify problems with such things as sanitation and manufacturing processes.
• Enters laboratory data into computer system.
• Alerts management when products are out of specification.
• Reports food safety or quality problems to management and assists in appropriate personnel.
• Examines inventory to determine what supplies need to be ordered and informs appropriate personnel.
• Trains other employees on the proper use of equipment and procedures.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
