Job summary

Lactalis American Group in Belmont, Wisconsin is hiring a Lab Technician to support material testing and quality assurance in a fast-paced dairy laboratory environment.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication, and ability to work with cross-functional teams. Applicants with a dairy science or lab science background and a willingness to obtain state certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in Dairy Science or Laboratory Science preferred.
• Experience in dairy or laboratory settings preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy required.

Responsibilities

• Test raw materials, in-process/byproducts, and finished products as per reference table.
• Perform tests and provide timely results.
• Report out-of-spec results to Laboratory Supervisor and QA/Production.
• Record test results in forms, database, or logbook.
• Check samples that yield out-of-spec results and document appropriately.
• Collaborate with production and laboratory staff.
• Maintain a clean, orderly working environment.
• Maintain state regulatory logs as needed.
• Follow GMP and GSP policies and procedures.
• Obtain necessary machine certifications within six months of employment.
• Protect confidentiality of information regarding products/recipes.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Laboratory Supervisor.
• Attend departmental meetings and trainings as required.
• Comply with safety standards to ensure staff safety.
