Job summary

Prairie Farms in Orrville, OH is hiring a Full Time Lab Technician to support ice cream and fluid production teams. You will perform microbiological testing of products and ingredients, collect samples, and maintain the laboratory quality programs.

You will test various parameters (butterfat, total solids, pH, TA), manage product retention, document results in the QDA System, and participate in environmental monitoring and corrective actions to uphold Prairie Farms' quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must currently be qualified in the dairy lab or have equivalent degree or experience.
• Ability to perform microbiological testing and product evaluations.
• Strong attention to accuracy and data recording.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing of products and ingredients.
• Conduct daily lab testing on ice cream.
• Collect and ship finished product samples for testing.
• Maintain product retention and QA documentation.
• Update information in the QDA System.
• Assist with environmental monitoring and corrective actions.
