Upstate Niagara Cooperative's North Lawrence plant is seeking a laboratory technician to perform microbiological, chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process and finished goods. You will document results and ensure GMP compliance.

Preferred candidates have an associate degree in Chemistry or Biology or equivalent lab experience; must obtain NYS licenses; strong attention to safety and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• Preferred but not required, Associates degree in Chemistry or Biology or 4 years pervious lab experience.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and SPC Plating.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the following licenses with the New York State Department of Agriculture: Direct Microscopic Count, Drug Residue (Charm SL) and Milk Receiver.
• Ability to read and interpret test results, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to fill out routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively and convey information to other employees.
