Job summary

Upstate Niagara Cooperative in Batavia, NY is seeking a laboratory technician to support testing of raw materials, in-process and finished dairy products. You will carry out microbiological, chemical, and physical tests and document results daily.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Education in Chemistry or Biology or 4 years lab experience.
• Knowledge of GMP and SPC Plating.
• Licenses with NY State Dept. of Agriculture: Direct Microscopic Count, Drug Residue (Charm SL) and Milk Receiver.
• Ability to read and interpret test results, reports and safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Microbiological, chemical and physical testing of raw materials, work in process and finished goods.
• Document all testing, and results done daily.

Education

Associates degree in Chemistry or Biology
