Job summary

Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a lab technician at the North Lawrence plant to perform microbiological, chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process materials and finished goods.

You will document all test results daily and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and required licenses. Shift schedules may vary and pay is listed below depending on the collective agreement.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Chemistry or Biology or 4 years pervious lab experience.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and SPC Plating.
• Licenses with NYS Department of Agriculture: Direct Microscopic Count, Drug Residue, Milk Receiver.
• Ability to read and interpret test results, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to fill out routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively and convey information to other employees.
