Job summary

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a small progressive dairy operation in Rhode Island seeking an experienced, hands-on Herd Manager to oversee herd health, production, animal welfare, and daily dairy activities. You will work closely with farm leadership to guide and supervise the dairy team.

Responsibilities include overseeing milking, calves, reproduction programs, health monitoring, recordkeeping, and coordinating with the veterinarian and nutritionist to optimize milk production and herd

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or Dairy Management.
• 3+ years of hands-on dairy herd management or farm leadership experience.
• Experience with dairy herd management software and data records.

Responsibilities

• Oversee herd health, reproduction, and milk production.
• Supervise and develop dairy staff; ensure safety and welfare.
• Maintain accurate herd records and production data.
• Coordinate with veterinarians and nutritionists.
