Job summary

Genus, ABS Global, is offering a Dairy Sales, Genetics, and Consulting Intern role in the Midwest United States. This hands-on internship provides real-world experience, top-tier training, and impact on farms across the Midwest region.

The role offers hourly compensation of $17–$18 and includes exposure to genetic programs, farm operations, and collaboration with sales, technical service, and development teams. The program runs for 12 weeks during the summer.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Available for 12 weeks during the summer.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Gain an understanding of genetic programs, prospecting, business building, and customer relationship management.
• Understand the general farm operation and handling cattle including reproductive skills and safety procedures.
• Acquire knowledge in seeking new ways to deliver value to customers in co-operation with the commercial sales team, technical service team and new business development.
• Gain exposure to real industry seminars, producer meetings and in-house meetings and publications.
• Assist Sales Reps on their route with deliveries, service, sales calls and with ABS udder care products.
• Learn and help with record analysis and reproductive consulting.
• Ensure ABS Global is a healthy and safe environment to work by observing both the company safety rules and the policies/guideline.
• Uphold the Genus core values, mission and vision.
• Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours.
• Performs other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
