Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store (meat, bakery, produce, deli); customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly to team members.
• Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members across the organization.
• Successful completion of required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, selection, and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Plan and supervise day-to-day store operations across departments.
• Mentor and coach team members; drive customer service and sales.
• Ensure store looks presentable with proper product presentation and standards.
• Maintain P&L responsibility and shrink control for the department.
• Provide safe, fast, and friendly service; model Meijer standards.
• Ensure team training completion and adherence to policies.
• Support promotion decisions and succession planning.
• Spend time in-store communicating with customers and staff to deliver exceptional service.
