Job summary

DFA seeks an experienced Transportation Supervisor to manage daily transportation and distribution operations at a Wisconsin location. You will interact with supervisors, drivers, and customers to promote safety, efficiency, and excellent service.

Responsibilities include monitoring operations, controlling costs, scheduling fleet maintenance, hiring and training staff, and ensuring DOT and DFA policy compliance. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• 5–8 years of distribution, logistics, and/or transportation experience, including team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Class A CDL in state of residence required.
• Endorsements: tanker, doubles/triples as required; milk sampler/hauler license as required.
• Current medical card; other certifications/licenses may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation and distribution operations in compliance with company and regulatory rules; ensure safety and efficiency.
• Monitor daily operations and communicate with drivers, dispatch, and other DFA locations.
• Control costs for labor, supplies, and maintenance; approve expenses within guidelines.
• Analyze processes and problems; develop solutions to improve quality and efficiency.
• Establish positive relationships with customers to ensure optimal service.
• Interview and hire new employees; identify training needs; develop workforce with HR.
• Coach supervisors; communicate department goals; support performance.
