Hy-Vee Inc is seeking a Dairy Department Manager to lead one of the store's highest-traffic areas, ensure fresh, well-stocked products, and deliver outstanding customer service.

You will manage a team, set standards, analyze sales trends, plan promotions, and coordinate with store leadership to drive profitability. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced retail environment requiring strong communication, people management, and operational skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience preferred.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set and uphold department standards for customer service, cleanliness, sanitation, team relations, and profitability.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate department employees; handle performance and disciplinary matters.
• Coordinate scheduling, daily work plans, and department goals with store leadership.
• Oversee ordering, replenishment, pricing, invoicing, and department bookkeeping.
• Analyze weekly/monthly sales trends and plan promotions and displays.
• Ensure proper product temperatures, storage procedures, and freshness standards.
