Responsibilities

• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to questions.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of dairy specials and ensure freshness of products.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain temperature logs.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Assist management to achieve department sales and profit goals.
