Job summary

Stratton is seeking a Daily Programs Ski Supervisor to lead instructors, manage daily operations, and deliver exceptional guest experiences on the mountain.

You will coach staff, coordinate lessons, and handle payroll and scheduling tasks while ensuring safety and quality across all programs. This full-time seasonal role requires strong leadership and a passion for snow sports.

Qualifications

  • PSIA/AASI certifications are required.
  • Ski/Snowboard instruction experience preferred.
  • Experience with guest service in a resort setting.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and POS systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assign daily instructor duties and generate reports.
  • Assist with daily check-in in the assigned department lineup.
  • Schedule staff using resort systems.
  • Lead, coach, and support instructors on hill.
  • Oversee lessons to ensure quality and safety.
  • Support payroll and labor management tasks.
  • Communicate timely updates to management and staff.
  • Set up program logistics for indoor/outdoor activities.
  • Teach lessons when needed.
  • Build relationships with instructors and families in the program.
  • Draft weekly newsletter communications for staff and guests.
  • Conduct end-of-season evaluations and planning.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Daily Programs Ski Supervisor, you will play a key leadership role supporting instructors and ensuring daily operations run smoothly and efficiently. Working closely with management and peers, you will lead by example, coach instructors, manage logistics, and help deliver outstanding guest experiences. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills as well as a passion for snow sports and instruction. This is a full-time seasonal position. The pay range for this role is $24.00 - $28.00 per hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Lesson assignments, including generation of daily reports
  • Assist and facilitate the check in process at assigned department’s daily line up
  • Staff scheduling within our scheduling systems
  • Be present, available, and engaged with instructors and guests, on hill and in asupportiveleadership capacity
  • Coach and mentor fellow staff members
  • Oversee lessons to ensure quality
  • Support management with payroll and labor management duties
  • Ensure essential information is communicated in a timely and accurate manner to both upper managers, peers, and instructor staff members. Work with management team to find a resolutions in a timely manner.
  • Managing indoor and outdoor program set up and upkeep during the day
  • Teaching lessons when needed
  • Build relationship with instructors and families within the program
  • The supervisors working within our seasonal programs will be required to send weekly Newsletter communications to the staff and guests within that program
  • Conduct thorough end-of-season analysis of individual and departmental strengths and opportunitiesin evaluations and planning
  • This position may require work duties assisting other departments as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • PSIA/AASI certifications or equivalent
  • Ski/Snowboarding Instructor for 1 season full-time or 2-3 seasons part-time
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using resort POS systems a plus
  • Willingness & ability to learn new computer systems
  • Ability to problem solve with management team and independently
  • Previous experience working in guest service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter- quick thinker
