Scoot Education is seeking substitute teachers to support classrooms across partner schools in Sacramento, CA. You will supervise students, reinforce inclusive learning environments, and partner with school staff to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role emphasizes flexibility, a strong education focus, and 1:1 consultant support. Eligible candidates typically hold a degree or credits and a teaching credential or permit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree or college credits required.
• Three professional references, including at least one from a previous supervisor.
• State & federal background checks required.
• TB risk assessment or test required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in classroom, playground, or cafeteria.
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment; encourage engagement.
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions per lesson plans.
• Communicate clearly with school staff.
• Leave brief notes or feedback for the returning teacher.
• Sitting, standing, and walking; able to lift up to 30 lbs to assist students.
• Observe and communicate across indoor and outdoor environments.
