Vantor in Longmont, CO is seeking a Direct Access Support Engineer for our Mission Operations Center. You will support operations, safeguard spacecraft and ground systems, and ensure timely delivery of imagery and data to customers.

The role requires a Secret clearance and US citizenship, with a 24/7 rotational shift capability. You will collaborate with remote sensing, project management, and sales teams, troubleshoot Tier 1/2 issues, and contribute to operational documentation.

• U.S. citizen with active Secret clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; equivalent experience may substitute for degree.
• Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux environments.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Ruby.

Responsabilidades

• Support Operations by handling requests from our International Defense customers and internal teams.
• Preserve spacecraft and ground systems; meet satellite tasking requirements and deliver imagery/data on time.
• Monitor satellite access windows and ensure successful execution and delivery of imagery/products.
• Provide Tier 1/2 incident support during off-hours and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
• Document operations procedures and ensure clear communication across teams and with customers.

Employment for cleared roles is contingent upon verification of clearance status.Export Control/ITAR: Certain roles may be subject to U.S. export control laws, requiring U.S. person status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).Please review the job details below.Job DescriptionThis position requires active Secret Clearance from the United States Government.Vantor is currently seeking a Direct Access Support Engineer for our Mission Operations Center in Longmont, CO.Responsibilities:Support Operations through the arbitration and execution of requests from our International Defense and customers.Preserve the spacecraft and ground systems; ensure existing and potential satellite tasking requirements are met; deliver imagery and ancillary data to Vantor internal and external customers.Support numerous internal departments, including Remote Systems, Direct Access Remote Sensing, Project Management, and the direct access account management and sales teams.Monitor satellite access windows to guarantee successful execution and ensure delivery of imagery and products within prescribed deadlines.Frontline incident management for direct access customers outside of standard business hoursTroubleshoot Tier 1 and 2 issues in high-pressure situationsUtilize and maintain monitoring tools by performing ongoing assessments of the efficiency/performance of these tools,Work alongside operations, sales, and customer facing teams on requirements and operational implementation,Provide input and guarantee accuracy of operations, efficiency, and transition documentation and procedures,Effectively communicate with team members, cross-departmental staff, and customers regarding status, milestones, issues, and resolution.Minimum Qualifications:Must be a U.S. citizen and possess a current/active Secret security clearanceAbility to accommodate 24/7 rotational shift workBachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a relevant field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.Background in Windows & Unix/Linux environmentsFamiliarity with scripting languages, such as Python or RubyMust possess/demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Geospatial and GIS experience or familiarity with remote sensing applicationsAbility to understand system-level concepts and grasp details of the interaction between various components in the systemProficiency with understanding and modifying XML and JSONAbility to provide support and guidance to customers during the implementation of their system through the life cycle.Experience with aerospace and/or satellite ground systemsAbility to support time-sensitive requirementsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to multi-task, results-driven, strong sense of ownership and urgencyAbility to interact multilingually#LI-MG1Pay Transparency: To support pay transparency, Vantor includes salary ranges in all U.S. job postings. Starting pay for this role will fall within the listed range and will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and market conditions. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the role should not expect to receive compensation at the top of the range. The listed range reflects the expected pay for this position, and final offers will be determined based on each candidate’s experience, expertise, and alignment with the role.
